Everything you need to write, run and test Sparsr code is free and always will be. Running on Sparsr hardware is free from us too: on FPGA, you pay only AWS for the instance.

SDK and emulator
Free, unlimited, and open to anyone
The whole development toolchain, running on your own machine. This is not a trial or a reduced build: it is the same assembler, the same runtime and the same instruction set the hardware runs.
- The spasm assembler
- C and C++ intrinsics
- The libsparsr_host.so host runtime
- The full software emulator
- .NET bindings and the PyTorch device
- No usage limits and no billing
-
Cloud FPGA
Available now on AWS EC2 F2
Run your kernels on real Sparsr hardware, on an AWS EC2 F2 instance in your own AWS account. Sparsr does not charge for FPGA usage. The only cost is what AWS bills you for the instance, about USD 1.98 per hour for an f2.6xlarge in us-east-1. Write and test your kernel against the free emulator first. The card runs the same instruction set, but it does not have every instruction the emulator has yet, and the documentation lists which ones each side runs today.
- FPGA acceleration of Sparsr
- No Sparsr fee: you pay AWS for the instance
- Scalable performance
- Technical support

Custom work
Quoted per project
Instruction set extensions, memory and parallelisation work, and RTL built around your algorithm rather than around ours. A workload that needs a primitive Sparsr does not have yet gets it here — and, for a project that justifies it, the design goes to silicon rather than staying on FPGA. It starts with a kernel study, so the quote rests on a measurement of your code rather than on an estimate.
- Custom wide instructions at 8,192 bits
- Custom memory layouts and wire formats
- Custom parallelisation technologies
- Algorithm optimisation on demand
- Silicon manufacturing
- Dedicated support
- Flexible enterprise pricing
The free tier, and what it really costs you
Not a funnel step. The emulator exists because we need it ourselves, and the marginal cost of your using it is zero.
-
The SDK is always free
Write your host application and your kernels on your own systems, for free, with unlimited use. Downloading the SDK needs a free developer account on the Sparsr Developer Zone. We do not charge for running on Sparsr hardware either. On an F2 instance, you pay only AWS.
-
Software emulation is always free
Your kernel runs against the real Sparsr instruction set on your own CPU. That makes local development and automated testing in CI possible without hardware access.

Everything on this page except the hardware is available right now, and you do not need the hardware to find out whether Sparsr suits your workload.
